Obituary of Timothy Arthur O'Brien

Tim, beloved husband of Vicci and father of Hailey and Grady, passed away suddenly on May 9, 2020, at the age of 70.
 
Tim was born in Ste Foy, QC, in 1949 and attended Saint Patrick's High School. He worked, at one time or another, in almost every province and territory in Canada, mostly as a miner, before settling in Calgary to raise a family with Vicci. He was always reading – wherever Tim was, a book—probably non-fiction, but maybe a mystery novel—would be nearby. He was known for his big laugh, his kindness, his honesty and his love for life. Tim will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
 
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Dorothy O’Brien, and his siblings Gerald, Maureen (Habermeyer) and Trudy. 
 
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.   A reception will follow at the funeral home.
