Obituary of Chiara Ceccato

Clara, beloved wife of Antonio Ceccato of Calgary, AB, passed away on July 4, 2020 at the age of 88 years.

Clara was born in Fonte Alto, Treviso, Italy on July 10, 1931. She moved to Calgary in 1958 and then married her husband.

Clara was a tireless volunteer with Our Lady of Grace Parish. She was particularly proud of the birth of her only grandchild, Joshua.

Clara loved spending time with her loving family, cooking the best Italian meals from scratch, singing, dancing and getting together with all her Italian friends for cards night. She will be most remembered for her easy going nature and kindness to others.

Clara is survived by her husband, Antonio; two sons, Mauro and Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Laura; and grandson, Joshua. She is also survived by a sister, Taormina in Fonte Alto, Italy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws in Italy and France.

A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4^th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.
