I am so sorry to hear of Elver's passing. Over 45 years ago he became one of my first customers as a rookie salesman at Wesco. Our business association grew to a friendship and I always enjoyed ski trips to the mountains with Elver and Helmut. My condolences to the family.

Elver didn't have to tell us what he planned to do with his One Wild and Precious Life. We could see it in all his actions. He loved being involved and he applied himself whole heartedly. Knowing Elver through the Electrical Contractors Association . The Business meetings , Conventions and AGM's. Elver was always there to lend an ear and concerns to us up and comers.
Many hours were spent on the phone discussing ECAA business with my father Kris, and I'm sure the others involved.
When it got to talking about his Family, well, he would just light up. He was very proud of them.
My Condolences to you all.
Dean Gjertsen
On behalf of my Mother , Bertha . She would also like to pass on her Condolences. Bertha and Kris ( Bjorn) spent many enjoyable hours together with Elver and Grethe. Travelling by Motor home with Harvey and his wife Betty. Sharing the dance floor with Elver and Grethe.
Mom sends her Condolences

Grethe and family,
we are so sorry for your loss. Elver was such a positive, happy and enthusiastic person. I enjoyed his singing in the Danish Spirit Choir, the fun he brought to our choir functions, the good times at the Danish Canadian Club and other functions. The kids still talk about the fun time in Invermere in your cabin. Sincere condolences to you and your family.

We were surprised and saddened to learn of Elver's passing. It was only a few weeks ago that we spoke and, as always, he was warm and upbeat as we caught up. Elver, Harold Taylor and I spent many hours together on the highway to and from Edmonton and no matter the kind of day it was, or the business challenges to be dealt with, Elver was enthusiastic and positive. Conversation always turned to family and Elver, laughing and rubbing his hands together, loved to tell us about the latest in the lives of his wonderful kids and grand kids. And how many times did he tell us how lucky he was to have Grethe? He loved his life. Our thoughts are with Grethe and the rest of the family.

Loving thoughts to Grethe and the family at this time. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die”.
Your cherished memories will keep him close.
I have known Elver for just 3 years as a volunteer at Royal Park. I quickly realized what a beautiful soul he was. That man was always smiling!
At happy hour when we would dance I could tell that in his day he was a professional.
He had a positive outlook and often told me what a wonderful life he and Grethe have had.
I feel privileged to have known him. I will miss you Elver!
