Oh Denise I’m so sad to read this today. You and Amanda made life so special for Katie for such a long time and I can’t imagine your pain. She was such a special girl/lady and my heart breaks today. Love and prayers to you both and to her Dad. Fly high Katie!

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Katie through SCOPE. I originally met her on my first practicum about a year and a half ago and I made it my goal to get to work with her. I started at house 112 in the fall last year and I am so happy I did, because I got to work with Katie every Sunday. It was one of the highlights of my week and I am so heartbroken that I will not get to continue this after I return to 112. Thank you Katie for teaching me to by myself, to edit pictures to look like cartoons. Thank you for showing me it’s okay to dance like no one is watching and to sing loud and proud. I will always remember how kind you were, complimenting my hair and outfit. You were in inspiration. I’m sorry that you were hurting so badly, but I will always keep you in my prayers and thoughts. Rest well, angel. Sending my love and condolences to Katie’s entire family ❤️

I was very fortunate to have known Katie. Denise brought her to my art studio and her and I made art together ❤ she will always be known to me as a self described "diva". She kept me on my toes, but I really loved getting to know her and helping her to create beautiful pieces of art. Just breaks my heart that she is gone. She will be so missed.
