Bob & Marilyn Lawrence posted a condolence
Sunday, February 7, 2021
We were very sorry to receive Carol's call and hear of Bill Herron's passing. I have known Bill since we were in the seventh grade, through high school and beyond. We roomed together at the University of Oklahoma, belonged to the same Fraternity, played polo and rodeoed and dated together while at OU. We have remained friends although Marilyn and I have not lived in Calgary since the mid-sixties. Bill & Carol have stayed in touch, opening their house to us on our Calgary visits, and visiting with us when here in Kentucky. He will be missed but hopefully we can remain in contact with Carol over our remaining years.

Dear Carol and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Although I did not know him long, I was honoured to have been the recipient of his fascinating family history as it related to the discovery of oil in Turner Valley.
May your memories of the time spent together give you comfort and strength at this sad time.
