Obituary of Ian McIntyre Brander
It is with much love and deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad, surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the age of 83 years.
Ian was born and raised in Calgary and attended Western Canada High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Elsie. He joined A.G.T. (now Telus) as an Installer and had a successful career with many roles lasting almost 36 years. He retired in 1991 as a Business Industry Consultant.
Ian is survived by his daughter Pamela (Andrew), son Cameron (Kelsey), sister Heather (Karl), brother Don (Shirley) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ian was predeceased by his loving wife Elsie (nee Christopher) of 49 years in 2010.
A private Memorial Service will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 – 16th Avenue NW (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) for 10 attendees, on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm. with a Graveside Service to follow. All others are invited to join Ian’s service streamed live on the day of the service.
