Obituary of Michael James Fedor

Michael James Fedor of Calgary Alberta, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the age of 60 years.

 

Mike was born in Calgary on March 14, 1960. He attended King George School and Crescent Heights High School, graduating in 1978. He went on to earn a BComm at the University of Calgary. Mike had a long career in the oil and gas industry contributing to a variety of accounting related roles.

 

Mike will be remembered for his outgoing personality, good humour, kind heart and courage with the obstacle of failing health. He led an active life with a love of the mountains, downhill skiing and tennis. He was creative and enjoyed playing the bass guitar, especially as a young man. As his health failed, he became an avid reader and was a strong supporter of book boxes in the Mount Pleasant area.  He will be missed.

 

Mike is survived by his sister Deb and his mother Shirley with numerous extended family and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his father Steve Fedor.

 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the health care professionals that helped Mike with his challenges.

 

Due to limitations associated with COVID-19, a public funeral service will not be held at this time. It is hoped that a commemorative gathering will be held later.
