Victor Kaczmarek of Calgary passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the age of 85 years.
Emigrating to Canada in 1953, Victor settled in Calgary with his family. Victor initially worked for Robin Hood Flour Mills and later as a butcher at Canada Packers from where he retired.
Victors true love was his family. His passion was gardening both vegetables and flowers, the envy of the neighbourhood. Long drives in the country with Dawna and Joe, fishing trips with Walter, and camping weekends with Sophie and Dale were all favorite pastimes. Victor was a huge fan of the Calgary Flames, spending many memorable nights in the Saddledome with Walter and Sandra. Sunday night dinners, lovingly prepared by Nina and Vic, surrounded by their grandchildren were a treasured family tradition.
Victor was predeceased by his beloved daughter Sophie and his loving wife Janina.
A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 12:00 p.m.
