Obituary of Jasvej Singh Kaler

 

It is with great sadness that the Kaler family announces the passing of beloved husband and father, Jasvej Singh Kaler on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 57 years old. He is survived by his wife Gurmeet, two daughters Gurtej and Jotika, sons-in-law Dilpreet and Robin, grandson Aiden, brother Arvinder and wife Kulwant, and sister Amrit and husband Pritpal. Jasvej has gone to join his mother, Nachhatar Kaur, and father, Ranjit Singh.

Jasvej was born in Moga, Punjab on December 9, 1963, and was raised in Sohian-Jagraon, Punjab. His childhood was full of joy and adventure in the farmlands of his beloved village. Jasvej married Gurmeet in 1987 and the two eventually laid down their roots in Calgary where they raised their two daughters. Jasvej's greatest pride in life was being a father, and his constant support and selfless nature allowed his daughters to achieve the success they always dreamed of.

Jasvej was well known for his joyous laughter, generosity, and kind spirit. He was hard working, incredibly knowledgeable and full of wisdom. He will always be remembered as an amazing father, caring husband, devoted son and loving brother. We are so blessed to have known and been loved by him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
