Obituary of Lois HANNIGAN

Lois Lillian Hannigan, beloved wife of Kenneth Hannigan of Calgary, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the age of 88 years. Lois was born in Hamilton, Ontario and attended Normal School where she obtained her Teacher’s Certificate. She and Ken moved to Calgary in 1952, where they raised their family. Ken and Lois lived most of their lives in Calgary. Lois was a homemaker during this time. Lois and her husband spent a year in Nairobi, Kenya. Her favourite hobbies were needlepoint, sewing, knitting and Tai Chi. Lois also enjoyed hiking in the mountains and travelling. She is remembered fondly by two sons, Peter and Bruce of Calgary; daughter Jennifer (John) of Calgary; two grandchildren, Jillian of Calgary, and Alison of Vancouver; and brother Mark Reid. Lois was predeceased by Kenneth Hannigan (Ken), her loving husband of fifty-five years in 2006; and by her parents. A Private Service will be held.
