Obituary of Jacob BEUSEKOM
Jacob Beusekom beloved husband of the late Stella Beusekom of Calgary, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
Jacob was born in Zeist, Netherlands he immigrated to Canada April 22, 1953 obtaining his citizenship January 7, 1960.
Jacob was certified as a qualified Downhand Pipe Welder on January 27, 1961 by the Government of Alberta. He then launched his successful welding company BSK Welding along with his two business partners.
Jacob married his wife Stella February 19, 1966. They were married 51 years enjoying many happy memories camping, snowmobiling and travelling. Jacob was predeceased by his wife Stella in 2017.
He is survived by his sisters Willy Stroink (Anton), Helen Van Waardhuizen (Dan), Anne Winnicky (Robert), his sister in-law Leta.
Jacob comes from a large family and is survived by his many nieces and nephews; Jerry Beusekom , Andrew Beusekom, Marianne Vandenberg, Arnold Beusekom, Rick Beusekom, Mitchell Beusekom, Arlene Van Beek, Jim Beusekom and Carolyn Van Bezooyen, Bruce and Darryl Stroink, Nellie Webster, Rita Stadnick, Irene Van Waardhuizen, Pete Waardhuizen , Maria Ashwood and Leslie Randell.
Jacob was predeceased by his brother Arnold who passed away in 2019.
Jacob moved from their home in Chestermere enjoying his last four years at the Prince of Peace Manor retirement home where he was surrounded by many friends and amazing staff to whom we are so grateful.
A Private Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to join Mr. Beusekom’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
