Obituary of Lynda Ruth Ann Gardner
Lynda Ruth Ann Gardner beloved wife of Eldon James Gardner of Calgary, passed away peacefully with her husband and daughter by her side on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the age of 71 years.
Lynda was born in London, Ontario on June 19, 1950. She was the only daughter of Harold Robert Ashman and Florence Maud Ashman (nee Cook).
Lynda lived in various cities in Canada, including London, Ottawa, Toronto and Windsor in Ontario; she moved with her husband and daughter to Lethbridge, Alberta in 1982 and then to Calgary in 2011 on her husband’s retirement.
She enjoyed travelling and visited many places over the years of her marriage.
One memory that we all share is her gentle smile and the warmth of her personality. Her optimism and enjoyment of life were a joy to those around her.
Lynda and Eldon were married for 51 years.
Besides her loving husband Eldon, Lynda is survived by her daughter Keri Joann Gardner-Volk and son-in-law, Calvin Jacob Volk: Lynda is also survived by her brother David Robert Ashman; numerous aunts, uncles , cousins and friends in Canada and the USA.
Lynda was predeceased by her parents, Harold Robert Ashman and Florence Maud Ashman (nee Cook).
Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.
The family would like to thank the medical staff of Rockyview General Hospital for making her last days as comfortable as they could, doing everything to try to give her help and assistance to the end.
