Obituary of Dennis Lawrence Petrunia

Dennis Lawrence Petrunia of Calgary, passed away peaceably on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the age of 84 years.

Dennis attended St. Joseph’s School and St. Mary’s High School. He had a long successful career as a pressman (four colour) earning many national awards. He was very intelligent and notably hard working throughout his life.

Dennis married his beloved Joyce and their lives were tremendously active and rewarding. Dennis remained devoted to Joyce during her journey with dementia. They had enjoyed travelling the Maritime Provinces, Europe and the UK.

He is survived by his four children, Dean, Douglas, Todd and Denise; three grandchildren, Bradley, Lisa and Sara; two sisters, Laurel and Sharon; as well his extended family and stepfamily.

Dennis was predeceased by his loving wife Joyce, parents George and Zola, infant son, niece, brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340-4^th Street SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow immediately afterwards in the church hall, with a Graveside Service to follow at St Mary’s Cemetery.
