I remember this photo being taken so clearly. I was around 6 years old and it was my first visit to Punjab. I was very lucky to see my Babbaji with his brothers.
I remember staying in Rampur and spending so much time with the family. I always felt close to Sarmukh Baba, I think this was because he looked so much like my Dad. His smile will always be with me, he was always so happy.
A specific memory that has stayed with me was when my Dad and I were on Sarmukh Baba’s scooter with him. I was so scared and I clung on with my dear life. We went down this one beautiful road with trees and that moment of fear left, we saw lots of birds flying out of the trees as we went by. When we got off he smiled, it was his smile that would make you feel calm and happy.
Every trip after, I would always look forward to seeing him!
I always knew he was a teacher and when I became one I thought it’s good because it runs through our family.
