Deepest condolences of the passing of your Aunt Bernie. Bernie was a life long friend of my mother (Katherine) and they spent many hours visiting at mom's kitchen table. Bernie would stop in regularly as she walked the blocks of the neighbourhood in Huntington Hills for exercise. Her vibrancy always lit up the house. As I still live in the area, I was always fascinated by her outdoor Christmas display and lovely garden in summer. May you enjoy the memories of your sweet aunt.

My favourite memories of Aunt Bernie was at her great nieces and nephews weddings. She had so much fun at the pre parties. She loved trying new drinks her older nephews would mix up, laughing at Larry’s corny jokes and even trying chewing tobacco!. She loved to have fun and we loved seeing her so happy. I think I got the love of the colour red from her.
Rest in peace Aunt Bernie. We will miss you ❤️

Our Grade 12 photo. Bernie is on the far right and I am standing next to her. I love this picture because the sass she shows here is how she lived her life.

I, Betty Campagne was a friend to Bernie for most of my life.We first met at Dutch Hollow school when her family moved really close to the school and we were in grade 3 and4 together. We were together again in the Willow Bunch convent for our grade 12. We spent a lot of time together. In later life Bernie’s oldest sister Yvonne married my oldest brother Norton.
When I moved to Calgary in 2000, Bernie invited me over to her home and we reminisced about the old days. She always included me at her family gatherings.
We exchanged Christmas and birthday cards and long phone calls regularly. I celebrated her 90th birthday party at her home and she came to my 90th birthday at my home.
I will miss her. Bonne Voyage Dear Friend.
