Obituary of Monica Dobson

It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our Mum, Monica Dobson (nee Savage) on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She is survived by her children Craig (Anne) and Patti (Frank); five grandchildren, Blair (Enoch), Graeme (Amy), Andrew (Jo), Adrian, and Keira; and great-grandchild, Noah. Of English descent, Mum was pre-deceased by John, her loving husband of sixty-eight years, her parents, Harry and Winnie, and her three siblings, Gerald (Joyce), Pat (Charlie), and Joan (Tony).

 

“Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality” Emily Dickinson once wrote. Our Mum loved us all with every portion of her being and we will keep her love close to our hearts forever.

 

Funeral Services will be held at Holy Cross Anglican Church, 2828 – 19 Street, NW, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 1:30 pm. Masking and social distancing will be required. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we are not able to have a reception. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
