I met Anne during my undergrad years. We both had a love of Spanish and we met taking Spanish courses at the U of C. We became good friends; so much so, that she was the maid of honour at my wedding 40 years ago.
As our life's journeys unfolded we didn't get to see each other as often as we hoped. But every time we did connect it felt like we'd only seen each other the day before.
I will miss catching up, practicing Spanish, and talking about our kids and our love of travel.
Adios mi amiga. Que descanse en paz.

I was so saddened to hear of Anne's passing, ...shocked in fact because she never told me she was battling ALS. That's the kind of person she was, she hid her pain and worried about others.
I worked for her and with her for many many years when she was the VP at one of the most respected and biggest oil & gas data log libraries in the world. She was very hard working, smart and those who worked for her had the highest respect for her, as she did for those under her leadership. She was able to grasp concepts quickly, seek solutions, then develop further to promote projects to completion with ease. She had a great sense of humour which I enjoyed very much. Anne made me feel very warm inside. We both shared our love for wheatens and would talk about their funny character for hours.
I was looking forward to seeing her more after we both moved on from the company. Unfortunately covid happened. I will miss her very much.
My sincerest condolences got out to her husband Dave (who's a great guy btw, and a rabid Wolves fan) and to her 2 daughters Holly and Steph. Of course to the extended family and friends as well. Her first granddaughter Rowan got to be in Anne's warm cuddle for at least a little while.
Anne will forever be in my thoughts and my heart.

Anne was a distant cousin of mine, via my Mum’s and her Mum’s roots in Yorkshire, England. We shared too a very distant relative who died at Fort McLeod, Alberta, at the end of the ‘march’ which founded the Mounties! Strange world!
I first met Anne when she and her Mum came to England when Anne was about 20, and then later when she visited again with Holly and Stephanie who were about 6 or 7 years old. After a long gap my wife and I visited Anne and family in Calgary, and had a lovely visit which included quite a tour of Alberta, including Fort McLeod. I think we enjoyed each others company, and had common interests in hiking and skiing. In subsequent years we actually managed to ski together with Anne, Dave and the girls at Nakiska, Banff and Firnie, which we all enjoyed and got to know each other better.
We kept in touch by email and shared our news, and I followed Anne’s progress to get her Masters degree. I am so pleased for her that she finally succeeded before so sadly dying. She was a clever, fun and determined lass, and it is so sad that her life has been cut short by this horrible illness. She will not be able to enjoy her granddaughter as she should, and do all those grandmotherly things, nor enjoy her retirement with Dave as she should be able to.
Farewell Anne, we shall miss you.

Saddened to read of the passing of Anne. My husband and I were blessed to meet Anne, Dave and Stephanie whilst we all partook in a Christmas adventure in Uluru and Kings Canyon. Such a lovely lady, wife and mother. We really enjoyed our Christmas because we met you all. Much love and sympathies to Dave, Stephanie and Holly. The best ones are always taken too early. However I do read what Anne had achieved and its incredible what she packed in! I hope you manage to find smiles in the memories you've made together.

Oh oh oh. I am so so sad to hear this news! I just now saw this post on Facebook. Anne and I worked at the ISPG in Calgary for a few years and became friends. She helped me through some rough times. I have some great photos of staff geological field trips that Anne took and photos of her as well in the "Bad Lands". In 2015, I was managing a national conference in Halifax, and had the good fortune of being able to have a wonderful dinner with Anne on the waterfront and catch up. My heart is saddened beyond all belief, and am sending my heartfelt condolences to Dave and family. Rest peacefully my friend.
XOXO

My precious memories of Anne. This picture is how I will always remember Anne. Anne has been an integral part of my life. Christmas ornaments hanging on their Christmas tree that her girls made while in my preschool class. Bowling on the same team at the CWC. Our time together at church (St.Cyprian's/Holy Cross) was our closest team work. Anne was my partner on the Altar Guild, our monthly breakfasts (Anne drinking tea), together on our coffee team (Anne could lift the big coffee urn) & we enjoyed book club together. I always appreciated her thought provoking questions & comments. One of my special memories was going with a group of girlfriends to Drumheller to see the Passion Play.(Anne drove). Our scrapbooking/quilting weekends at Camp Kananaskis (that Anne organized) will always bring a reminiscent smile to my face. I feel so very privileged to have had Anne in my life & I could call her my friend. Rest in Peace dear friend. Gloria Reid

Dear Holly, Stephanie and Dad,
Please accept my sincerest sympathy on the loss of your Mom and wife.
Anne was the loveliest person and I have fond memories of her during synchro days, the halls of the CWC and when she pursued her graduate studies at Dal, my alma mater.
Her kindness and beauty lives on in her wonderful girls. What a legacy she left our world.
You are in my heart at this most difficult time.
