I am so very sorry for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather. Papa Polson,as we all knew him, will be greatly missed. My children grew up thinking of him as their own grandpa. Nana, you and Papa were very special people to all of us. Even though there was no blood relationship whatsoever, we always thought of both of you as family. Papa was always the quiet gentle soul in the background of family gatherings and special occasions but his presence was always felt. We will remember him fondly as a good man.

I meet Dave at the Consort reunion that was held at the West Hillurst legion in Calgary a number of years ago. He was the mc organizer of this event. Dave was a good friend of my dad Walter Macaulay. Dave’s parents were neighbours and friends of the MacAulays in the Consort area.
Dave and I shared many good stories over breakfast at Phils on 16th ave NW. I looked forward to these occasions and will miss the stories and friendship. My condolences to Shirley and family. Peace be with you to yours.

Our deepest, deepest sympathies to a very special family. We didn’t know David well, but we know his beautifully compassionate daughter Maureen. That tells us he left a legacy of kindness that has impacted so many world wide.
We remember his big smile and his eyes that showed such
love and pride for his family.
There are no words for such a loss.

Aunti Shirl, cuzins Lynn, Brad, Mo and Scottie and all your families. Uncle Dave will forever be in our hearts as a man of kindness, patience, intelligence, so articulate with current events right up to the end and for me personally (Deanna) our common love of horse which we could chat about for an hour! He was soft spoken and his warm spirit attracted people to him. My Dad (Ton Barker) said he barely remembers their lives without Dave in the family. He was like a brother my Dad said. Rest In Peace our sweet uncle, and I hope you are riding a gorgeous Warmblood off into the sunset humming a cowboy tune! God Bless
