Obituary of Gertrud OELKE

Gertrud Oelke of Calgary, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the age of 93 years, surrounded by her loving family. She is lovingly remembered by her children Karl (Evelin) Oelke, Benita (Gary) Wilkie, Ralph (June) Oelke; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Harry Oelke and Benno Oelke, both of Germany. Gertrud was predeceased by her husband, two children, parents and two siblings. A Celebration of Gertrud’s Life will be held at Harvest Hills Alliance Church (10099 Harvest Hills Blvd. N.W.) on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Focus on the Family, or a Women’s Shelter.
