Obituary of Tyrone Vincent Acoose
October 26, 1982 – Regina, Saskatchewan
January 7, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Tyrone Vincent (Vinnie) Acoose, beloved son of Tammy Allen and brother of Tara Acoose passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the age of 39 years.
Vinnie as a baby established strong ties to Zagime Anishinabek Nation, the people and the land. He always came home to visit family and friends. Zagime was always his home. Tyrone was born on October 26, 1982, in Regina, Saskatchewan. He lived in Calgary and Preeceville for much of his schooling and completed grade twelve in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. Tara, his sister, remembers Tyrone as being a good big brother who was very protective of her. He enjoyed building forts, hide-and-seek, playing tag, and reading and writing. Tyrone attended Camrose University and took a library course in Calgary. He wrote for magazines and had a particular love for languages. He learned German at Camrose University, and Mandarin from a friend. He was respectful to all he knew.
Tyrone was taken from us at much too young an age and will be missed.
Tyrone is survived by uncles and aunts, Steven and Arlette Allen, Lawson Allen and Jeannie Moffat, Ray and Laurie Lloyd, Lance and Karen Allen, Shane Allen, Terry, Trevor (Tamara), Neil, and Clare Acoose; and numerous special cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Shawn Regan Acoose, grandfather James Allen, grandmother Eileen Allen, grandparents, Ernest Vincent and Barbara Muriel Acoose; step-grandmother Bernice Allen; great-grandparents, King and Angeline Acoose, and John and Clara Bellegarde; aunt Tammy Lynn Acoose, uncles, Aaron Barr Sinclair, Gordon Edward Sinclair, Tyrone Emery Acoose; cousins, Alexander Ray Acoose-Sinclair, Nathaniel Jordan King Lavallee, and Morgan del Rey Acoose.
