Obituary of Cheryl Norma Weisner

Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Cheryl Weisner, beloved wife of the late Robert Merrill Weisner, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the age of 69 years.

Cheryl was born in Calgary, AB, on November 11, 1952.

Cheryl graduated from Alberta Vocational College with an Office Administration Certificate. Cheryl was so proud to join the workforce after being a homemaker and raising her children.

Cheryl married Robert Merrill in 1991 in Calgary, Alberta.

Cheryl accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was so proud to share all of their accomplishments and milestones and never hesitated to tell you or show you pictures.

Cheryl had a great love for The King of Rock ‘N’ Roll, Elvis Presley. She was able to fulfill one of her life-long dreams when she made it to Graceland for her 60th birthday. She could not take in enough of the Elvis memorabilia and cherished those memories dearly.

Cheryl’s most memorable vacation was at her daughter’s wedding in the Dominican Republic. She danced the nights away and relaxed on the beach with her toes in the sand.

She will be most remembered for her joy for life and her sense of humor. Nothing would get her down as long as she was surrounded by her family. Her strength never wavered. This was evident when she became a dialysis patient and started calling her treatments “work” and believed she should be getting paid to attend.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter Celina, and son Alex (Dawn), grandchildren, Kia, Chloe, Ann-Marie, Samantha (Ryan); and great-grandchildren, Hayden, Khaleesi, Xaphan, and her precious cat, Nalla.

Cheryl is also survived by her brother Larry; two nieces, Linda and their children, Norman, Robbie, Naomi; and Cathy and her child, Shane; two nephews, Archie (Diane) and their children, Terry, Tina and Stanley, and Mike and his children, Devon, Matthew, Noah, Jessie, Riley; as well as numerous cousins, and beloved friends.

Cheryl was predeceased by her spouse Robert , sister Agnes and nephew Norman
