Grant fox passing came a shock to Brenda and I. He supported me when I first came to Cranbrook for a job position. He knew that I was new to town and he made every effort to include me with activities that he had ongoing in the Cranbrook area. After the Cranbrook adventures I moved to Fort St. John and Grant and family relocated as he became my supervisor. Again Grant was very supportive in my Development and supported my career. Grant always kept in touch and was always making me smile. Thanks Grant for your support and friendship. RIP. Condolences to Sharon and family. From your friends Mike and Brenda Friederici AKA Hair lip.

Grant was the "glue" that kept our fishing/hunting trips going for the many past years that we have gotten together for numerous trips into the boonies and the Coast/Kootenay Lake. It could be calls for many lunch gatherings or excursions. Didn't matter cause if you missed it, you were guaranteed to miss chats of past memorable experiences or future outings. We had many get togethers at our house, usually to mess up Linda's kitchen making sausage of some sort. Grant welcomed us into his family just like we were his kids, usually telling/teaching us of some process he encountered in the past. I have many memories of being taught by the Fox on how to catch bottom fish which was his favorite. This was usually in the fog with breakers crashing all around us all the while watching the bottom and trying to keep the fish off our hooks (impossible task). Grant's favorite saying was "We Should". One trip fishing with Grant and Kent, and both of us deck hands up to our ears, Kent looked at me and said "now I get it, we are We!" We became We 1 and We 2. Many laughs while Kent and I were burning our lips off in the sun.
Grant's love for family and friends was unequaled. Our latest excursions always ending with a picture or video of his precious Granddaughter. Proud Papa. Dearly miss you partner. The group will always toast a memory and story of you.

I met Grant on a trip to Mexico in February, and he quickly made me feel like a member of his family. I feel lucky to have spent even the short amount of time that I did getting to know him, and I'm sending love to everyone else who was fortunate to have had him in their lives.

I’ve known Grant since I became his lake neighbour over 10 years ago. During that time Grant was always happy to help you out any way possible, to drop by for a drink, to drop by with a sample of his delicious cooking or just drop by for a good old political argument. He was always so happy to talk about his wife and kids and lately his granddaughter . He was a good man. I’ll miss Grant.

Grant's love of hunting, fishing and Kootenay lake was only exceeded by his love of family - he spoke of them, and especially his new granddaughter, every time we saw him. Condolences to the extended Fox & Pelkey family from the Thompsons

In life a person has only a handful of true friends. For me, Grant was one of them. I will miss him.

Many many years ago, Grant had a group of his customers to he and Sharon’s home in Cranbrook. He cooked a fish soup and his barbecued salmon. I thought I had never tasted anything so good and he shared the recipe! I will miss the knock knock knock on our door. It was Grants knock. In for a glass of wine and a quick visit. I will miss him.

Grant has given me so many wonderful memories with all the hunting and fishing trips we did together over so many years. When I think of him and what he did to improve and enhance my life, it makes me smile. He loved life and he passed that on to all that knew him. Our many meals and bottles of wine were so special. Who can forget those hot wings and oysters that we always had on the menu. Grant always planned ahead for our hunting and fishing trips; they were so much fun. Thanks for all the great times we had together. Grant was many things to different people; a husband, father, grandfather and excellent salesman but for me, I can only say that he has been my greatest friend and I'll miss him so much and always will. Love you brother. I'll see you again.

Our family has had the pleasure of being neighbors to the Fox family for well over a decade and Grant’s smiling face, kind words , sense of humor and stories of various travel adventures will be missed. His love of his family was truly inspiring and I am sure has left a huge gap in your hearts. Audra, Liam and Ethan

a friend gave me this quote from the song "The Gambler" ... "and the best that one can hope for is to die in your sleep" Grant was just too young!
We had far too many more Salmon & Rock Cod to catch and Hunting Trips to go on but Grant you'll be with us on every future trip and I know the ones he'll catch will always be bigger and stronger fighters than mine (and I'm OK with that - LOL)
Grant was our social convienier always making sure we got together for a lunch, planned a fishing trip or hunting expedition (old guy hunts) I'll miss those phone calls!
Grant was a True, Loyal Friend
Farewell My Friend, Rest In Peace
