Obituary of Stella Bou

March 29, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

 

 

Stella, beloved wife of Thomas, mother of Michael, and grandmother of Preston and Hudson of Arizona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 73.

 

Stella’s life was devoted to church, family, and friends. No matter where in the world Stella was, she would find a church to support, she took care of her family, and she made friends with everyone she met.

 

She grew up in An Feng, Dong Tai, Anhui Province, China in her family’s ancestral home; during that time she went through the “Great Leap Forward” and the beginnings of the Cultural Revolution. She moved to Hong Kong in 1966. There she met and married Thomas. To their great joy, Michael was born in 1988; thereafter he was the focus of most of Stella’s love. With the arrival of her grandsons Preston and Hudson, her joy was complete. The last three years of Stella’s life were made happy and comfortable by the golden-hearted staff at Wing Kei Greenview Supportive Living.

 

Stella was preceded by both her parents and her sister Alice. She is survived by her husband Thomas, her son Michael and his wife Danielle, and their sons Preston and Hudson. She is also survived by her brother Stephen; sisters, Helen, Wei Han, and Mimi; in-laws Bill and Valerie Pihl, Keith and Jodi Melidoni and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at South Gate Alliance Church (1436 James Mckevitt Rd SW) on Friday, April 29, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
