Obituary of John William Welton

John William Welton of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the age of 86 years.
He moved to Calgary, AB, as a young man where he met the love of his life. John married Shirley on October 29, 1960, on her 19th birthday.
John had a passion for coaching the youth in Renfrew.
He will be most remembered for his smile, laugh, and always telling a joke.
John is survived by his one daughter, Bev Lapka and two sons-in-law’s: Myk Lapka, Dan Marsh and his wife Dana Clark. One son, Joey Welton; four grandchildren, Jenna-Lea Scott, her husband Chad Scott, Dallas Marsh, Elliot Welton and Candice Kikstra and her husband Klaas Kikstra. As well as six great-grandchildren, Riley Marsh, Jaxon Marsh, Elizabeth Kikstra, Chloe Kikstra, Katie Kikstra and Olivia Kikstra. Two brothers in- laws’s Jim Klein and his wife Marylin Klein, Larry Klein and his wife Suzana Hutz.
John was predeceased by his wife Shirley, granddaughter Kim, his parents and four siblings and many friends. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
