Harmail Singh beloved husband of Manjit Kaur of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the age of 88 years.
Harmail was born in Chak 53 Montgumery, India on December 15, 1933. He immigrated to Calgary in December 2016.
Harmail married Manjit Kaur in 1978
Harmail accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of fulfilling his parents’ dreams.
Harmail had a passion for protecting and looking after his family and extended family. He loved farming and spent most of his time in the fields planting, cultivating, and performing post-harvest duties. He will be most remembered for his compassionate soul, his love for his children, and his gentle touch.
Besides his loving wife, Manjit of forty-four years, Harmail is survived by hid daughter and son-in-law, Harpreet Kaur, and Paramjit Singh of Germany; son and daughter-in-law, Lakhanpal Singh and Mandeep Minhas of Calgary; six grandchildren, Chanpreet, Harjot, Ekam, Gurmaya, Rhea, and Arjun. He is also survived by his siblings, Nasib Kaur, Harbans Singh, Kuldip Singh, and Kuldip Kaur, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Harmail was predeceased by a daughter, Satpal Kaur, and infant daughter, Gurpreet Kaur.
Funeral Services will be held at Calgary Crematorium Chapel, (3219 – 4th Street NW, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
