Obituary of Jatinder SINGH

Sardar Jatinder Singh beloved husband of Bhupinder Kaur of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the age of 75 years with his family by his side. He was born in (Kila Raipur) Ludhiana, Punjab, India on June 27, 1938, and immigrated to Calgary in 1993. Jatinder Singh was a teacher for over 30 years in India before immigrating. He felt that education and learning had the utmost importance; he was very passionate about learning in order to gain knowledge and being well established. In Canada, Jatinder worked several jobs to establish himself and made many friends that also shared his passion of hard work and determination. He will be lovingly remembered by his family for his loving smile, caring nature and dedication to the importance of education. Jatinder is survived by his wife Bhupinder Kaur, and his three children; Dharamvir Singh (Mandeep Kaur), Inderpal Singh (Narinder Kaur), Kanwaldeep Kaur (Maninder Singh), and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger brother Balraj Singh (Rupinder Kaur) and two nieces. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Religious Services to follow at the Guru Ram Das Darbar (84 Street Gurdwara), 5225 - 84 Street N.E.
