Dreger (nee McVay), Catherine Violetta, was born December 24, 1926, in Woodland, Washington USA. She passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022, at 7:20 p.m. at her residence Evanston Grand Village in Calgary, AB Canada.
She was predeceased by her husband Archibald Renald Dreger in January 1993 and her parents, Louise Caroline McVay (nee Louderback) January 1995 and Loyal McVay October 1984, both were from Centralia, Washington USA.
She is survived by her son Merlin (Rosalie) Dreger of Medicine Hat, AB, and daughter Myrna (Bill) Hubbard of Calgary, AB; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Larocque, and their two sons, Vincent Larocque and Davis Larocque of Kindersley, SK, and Karla (Randy) Butterfield and their daughter Brea and son, Brady Butterfield of Medicine Hat, AB. As well as numerous nieces, and nephews in Canada and cousins with families in the USA.
Funeral Services will be held at Calgary Crematorium Chapel, (3219 – 4th Street NW, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs Dreger's service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at Calgary Crematorium Funeral Home.
