February 14, 1981 – Cebu, Philippines

August 27, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Joanne Siaton, beloved wife of Leandro, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the age of 41 years.

Joanne was born in Cebu, Philippines, on February 14, 1981. She and her family immigrated to Calgary, AB, in 2015. Joanne graduated from the University of Visayas with a Bachelor of Science in nursing after her psychology degree. Joanne married Leandro Siaton in 2009 in Cebu City, Philippines. She accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of many of her moments and achievements, especially after a lot of years of life’s victory and the miracle of her health. Joanne enjoyed travelling with her family and friends, had a passion for cooking, discovering new recipes and for keeping in touch with her loved ones. She loved planning activities for her children, especially to Daniknik. her miracle baby. Joanne’s most memorable vacation was when she explored many places here in Canada and the USA. Visiting Walt Disney World was one of her happiest vacations, since it was celebrated with family on Christmas Day!

She will be most remembered for her beauty à la “Juday”, her generosity of time, treasure, and talents. Her love of dancing, singing, and willingness to keep in touch with her friends and family always, especially to those in need for a “real talk” moment.

Besides her loving husband Leandro, Joanne is survived by her two daughters, Carelean and Danika; and son Nathan, which in short is “CaNaDa” of Calgary; mother Carmen Visitacion; mother-in-law Filomena Timkang; brother Peter Neil with sis-in-law Claudette and nephews, Pete Andre, James Aaron and niece Casey; sister Mary Ann with brother-in-law Elmer Brillantes; niece Ysabella and nephew Rafael. Joanne is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Leah with husband Gulliver, and Ligaya with her husband Irvin and her nephew Charles Andre; brother-in-law Lloyd Lennon with his wife Diana, her niece Shemariah and nephew Shawn Samuel. Joanne was predeceased by her dad Engr. Nilo Visitacion; and grandparents, Priscillo and Filomena Osmeña, and Jaime Sr. and Caridad Visitacion.
