Obituary of Mary Jane Wray

March 31, 1936 – Ireland

September 23, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Mary Wray, beloved wife of the Late Raymond Wray, of Calgary, AB, passed away with family by her side on Friday, September 23, 2022, at the age of 86 years.

 

Mary was born on March 31, 1936. She lived most of her life in County Donegal, Ireland before immigrating to Calgary, AB Canada with her husband and children in 1980.

 

She was a hard worker with many friends and colleagues whom fondly referred to her as Maisey. She worked closely with them for over 25 years at the Hudson’s Bay Company and received many awards for customer service. Mary (May) had a quirky sense of humour, always trying to scare her grandchildren with weird bugs or spider toys which was pretty amusing to her, not to them.

 

Mum, Granny, Friend, Mary was a very kind hearted woman that will be dearly missed by all.

 

Mary is survived by her children, Joan (Mike), Hazel (Thomas), Rodney of Calgary, Glenn of Toronto; and her grandchildren,  Travis, Laura and Ashlyn Donnelly, Makenzie Genereux, Jade and Cole Wray. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Holden Donnelly and Rose Kinar.

 

She now rejoins her loving husband Raymond and will be celebrated in a private family service on May 21, 2023 in Ireland. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at www.albertaburialandcremation.com.
