Obituary of Noel Clark

 

May 10, 1927 - Irricana, Alberta

October 5, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

 

Noel went to be with his Lord and Saviour on October 5, 2022 at the age of 95 years. He was born on May 10, 1927 on the family farm near Irricana, Alberta, the youngest of two boys.  Noel met June Munroe in 1945 on a blind date, and they were married on September 16, 1947. Noel worked for the RCMP for over 30 years and, at the time of his retirement in 1988, was the Transportation Manager for Southern Alberta. Noel is survived by his children, Daniel (Janis) and Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Noel was predeceased by his wife June; his parents, John and Ruth; his brother Paul (Elvina); and his niece Myrna.

 

Noel loved road trips, gardening, his many beloved dogs, cars and motorcycles. In his younger years, Noel was an Alberta Hill Climb Champion. Although Noel was a mechanic by trade, his true passion was carpentry. He built beautiful pieces of furniture that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

 

The Clark Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Noel's Ohana Care homecare staff, especially Betty, as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Bethany Care Centre for the care that Noel received in the short time that he was a resident there.

 

A Memorial Service in Noel's honour will be held at Northmount Baptist Church, 451 Northmount Drive N.W., on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. Reception to follow the service. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
