Obituary of Alice Lorraine Towle
March 7, 1919 – Swift Current, Saskatchewan
November 13, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
The families of Alice Lorraine Towle wish Alice a joyous new beginning with her husband of sixty-three years, Bill, her sister Agnes and brothers Clarence and Ralph. Alice passed away on Sunday, November 13th, 2022, at the champion age of 103 years and 8 months.
Her life was one of creativity, strength, and achievement. She was a nurse, an artist, a hat designer, a secretary, and a leader just to name a few of her achievements. Alice and Bill traveled extensively enjoying Scandinavia, Europe, Hawaii, and Taiwan.
Alice leaves a daughter, Diana (Murray) Lowick of Calgary, AB, and a son Ray (Bonnie) Towle of Red Hook, NY to carry on the family traditions for her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Aly) Pain, Tania (Sam) Wong, Kari (Bill) Stinehart, Marta Towle, Christina (Spencer) Kroll, and Britta (Rowan) Morris as well as eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind our special family friends, Troy Fuller, Tina Block, Shidy Didsbury and her daughter Romina.
Her legacy to all is to deal with what life deals you with faith, strength, and determination.
At Alice’s request, there will be no service. Cremation will be followed by a scattering of her ashes on the prairie near Swift Current where she was born. To honor Alice please consider a donation to your local Veteran’s Food Bank
We cannot thank the Chinook Care Center staff enough for the exemplary care, dignity, and compassion that Alice and her family received over the past fourteen months.
