Obituary of Gregory Dean Maurer

 With profound sadness, the family of Greg “Maui” Maurer, wish to announce his passing. Gregory Dean Maurer, of Bassano, AB passed away in a tragic house fire on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at the age of 61.

Maui was born and raised in Bassano, AB. He attended Lethbridge College and had numerous jobs in his younger years before coming back to the farm with his dad, Sonny.

Maui is predeceased by his parents, Rosalie (Bell) Maurer on July 15, 2011, and Laurence (Sonny) Maurer on March 12, 2003, and his nephew, Jon Hiller, on May 5, 2022.

Maui is survived by his sister Cheryl (Kim) Telford, and her family, Grant (Shannon) Telford and family, Lynn (Ian) Mort and family, and his sister Karen (Manville Nash) Hiller, and her family, Clark (Sharf) Hiller, Derek (Amanda) Hiller and family, Audra Hiller, Chad (Charlene) Hiller and family. Maui is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless friends.
