Obituary of Nachhtar Kaur

Nachhtar Kaur, beloved wife of the late Jarnail Singh Gill, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the age of 88 years.

 

Nachhtar was born in Pakistan on April 17, 1934. She moved to Calgary, AB, Canada in 1982.

 

Nachhtar accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of others and serving others with her cooking which brought her joy. Nachhtar’s favourite saying was “Haiyooo.” She will be most remembered for her compassion.

 

Nachhtar is survived by her two younger sisters, Harbans Kaur, and Gurcharan Kaur; seven children, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services will be held at Calgary Crematorium Chapel, (3219 – 4th Street NW, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to join Mrs. Nachhtar’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
