Obituary of Faith Margaret Lenson

 

June 10, 1942 - Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan

December 27, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

 

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Faith (Faye) Margaret Lenson, age 80. Faye passed peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Peter Lougheed Centre.

She will be lovingly remembered by daughter Marie (Randy), granddaughter Cheyenne, brother Dwayne (Cathy), and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles, and friends. She was predeceased by parents Angus and Gladys; and loving husband Gary.

Born in Fort Qu’Appelle, Faye grew up in Regina, and then made Calgary home for over fifty years. She worked for RCA, then Indian Oil and Gas Canada for twenty-one years until her retirement.

Faye was loved and cherished by many. She made friends with everyone. She was humorous and quick witted; kind and generous; and her smile lit up a room. Known for her hospitality, Faye always gathered family and friends at her home, be it a special occasion or just a regular Saturday. She often served two of her specialties, cabbage rolls and shortbread. No guest left hungry, or without a gift. Faye, you will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Faye’s family would like to thank both staff and residents at Clifton Manor/Clifton House for their care and friendship.

A small Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
