We were so sorry to hear of Glenn’s passing. He and Gloria always made everyone feel so welcome in their home and I especially think back fondly on all the time I spent at their home in Spruce Grove.
Though they only lived there for a brief time, I am so thankful that Glenn’s job transfer there gave me the opportunity to meet Karen and get to know the rest of the family, who were such an integral part of my teen years. I have so many great memories including being introduced to Hello Dolly squares by Glenn’s mom and eating the entire pan with Karen, cruising the bustling streets of Spruce Grove with Karen and Bryan getting Slurpees, our families travelling in the Canadian Rockies with our German exchange students, and being with Karen and Scott leading a gigantic conga line through Olympic Plaza on the New Year’s Eve before the Calgary Olympics.
The times spent with the Cruickshank family were frequently filled with lots of laughter and what especially comes to mind when I think of Glenn is his incredible, contagious smile, which made it impossible not to smile whenever you saw it. His great sense of humour and fun was definitely a lasting legacy he passed down to his whole family.
To Gloria, Karen and the rest of the family, I hope your memories will give you some comfort during this sad time and know how loved and admired your husband/dad was by so many people. He will be greatly missed.
Sending you lots of love,
Tammy(Brodie), Ted Wood and family

I will always remember Uncle Glenn for his ability to make everyone laugh. When I think of him it brings me back to our house boating trip. From watching him willingly go down the water slide to him surprising everyone and jumping off the second deck of the boat. I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to spend that time with him. Uncle Glenn was a great man who will be dearly missed.

My Uncle Glenn was definitely one of the good ones! His laugh was, indeed, infectious, and one could not help but to laugh along with him. I enjoyed many card games with him, as he was always up for a evening of games and laughs. He will be so deeply missed by many. ❤️

I have had the good fortune visiting Bryan and his family at the Cruickshank home in Calgary. At their home I was treated like family by Glenn and Gloria. While it’s been some time since I’ve been out that way I will always remember Glenn’s sincere kindness and warm smile when he greeted me and invited me in….knowing full well that Bryan and I would be up to “some shenanigans” during my visit and stay. He was a patient, kind and generous man and will be greatly missed and remembered by those who had the privilege to meet and know him.
My sincere condolences to Gloria, Bryan and the rest of the family.

Dearest Karen, Bryan, Scott and Gloria, I am terribly sorry for the loss of your dearest father and husband. I never met Glenn, but know through the stories of what a beautiful, kind and loving person he is. Certainly his beautiful children and grandchildren are a testament to his love and adoration for his family. He lives on through each of you and for that I am grateful to Glen. My life is richer because of what he gave to you. With his passing so recent and raw, I hope you can sooth your pain in knowing he is no longer frustrated, confused or in pain. May the holes left behind be filled by sharing the warm stories of joyful times together. May he visit you in your dreams.
Sending you my love and condolences,
Stacey Aberdeen

Glenn and I both started with Chevron in 1964 as new engineers and I quickly liked his easy smile and quick sense of humor. Norma and I enjoyed Glenn and Gloria's company at numerous parties and looked forward to meeting them and exchanging gossip and getting Glenn's best stock tip. We will greatly miss Glenn and wish to extend out heart felt condolences to Gloria and family.
