Obituary of Georgina Charlotte Crump

It is with great sadness that the family of Georgina Charlotte Crump (Scott) announce her sudden passing on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the age of 81.

 

Georgina was born in Marwayne, AB and spent her early years in Dawson Creek, BC. Georgina married Kent Crump and they spent time in various places such as Ontario, Edmonton, Edson and then Calgary. In their early years they followed Kent’s work in the Air Force and later started businesses in Edson, AB. They enjoyed the friends and sense of community they found in Edson. Georgina worked in various accounting roles within the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary where she formed many friendships and enjoyed special relationships with all her co-workers over the years. Georgina spent the last 20 years in Calgary enjoying her retirement with Kent, family and neighbours.

 

She will be remembered as the family knowledge keeper and storyteller, and for her love and dedication to her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She had wit and humour and was ready to discuss almost any topic. At the end of her life, she was gifted with special and supportive neighbours who were always willing to lend a hand and enjoy her company.

 

Georgina will be lovingly remembered by her sister Luella Peacock, many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as her extended family members, and fabulous neighbours and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Max and Mildred Scott; husband Kent Crump, brother-in-law James (Jim) Peacock, and niece Theresa Peacock.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway ( Heritage, 1708, 16th Avenue N, across from the Northhill Shopping Centre, Calgary, AB) on August 26, 2023 at 11:00 am.
