Walter Warden, beloved husband of the Late Martha Ivadeen Warden (nee McFadden) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the age of 85 years.

Walter was born in Sexsmith, AB, on February 21, 1937.

He moved to Kingston, Ontario in 1957, where he trained and received a plumber and pipefitter certificate.

Walter married Martha in 1960 and moved to Calgary, AB.

Walter was a self-taught violinist with a passion for learning. He also enjoyed both the shooting range and fishing.

Walter’s most memorable vacation was when he and Tim drove from Calgary to visit Berdeena who at the time lived in Moncton and while in NS toured around Hopewell Rock NB, Peggy’s Cove, and Lunenburg NS. They also did the tip-to-tip tour of PEI in 2015.

He will be most remembered for his humor.

Walter is survived by his daughters, Ivadeen of Calgary, AB, Berdeena (Benjamin) of Listowel, ON, son Tim (Terri) of Hanna, AB; five grandchildren, Tacita of Calgary, AB, (Allen’s sons) Parker and Spencer of  Kamloops, BC, Allen and Patrick of Kamloops, BC. Walter is also survived by his two brothers Bob of Courtney, BC, and Tom (Margaret) of Surrey, BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Walter was predeceased by his wife Martha, his oldest son Allen and his parents Charles and Ruth.

A Gathering (Celebration of his life) will be held at Calgary Crematorium Chapel, (3219 – 4th Street NW, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here www.calgarycrematorium.com.
