Obituary of Frederik Willem Haeseker

Frederik Haeseker, died at the Rosedale Hospice, after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the age of 79 years.
He was born on May 18, 1943 in Breda, Netherlands. Fred, a retired journalist, was also the film critic for The Calgary Herald for many years.
He was predeceased by his mother, Janna Hendrika d'Arnaud Gerkens in 1986 and his father, Frederik Willem Haeseker Sr. in 2002.
He is survived by his dear friend, Candace Prather and their daughter, Johanna Haeseker (Jo); sister, Clara Margaretha Haeseker (Mimi) and her husband Bob; sister, Alexandra Marguerite Haeseker and her husband, Derek.
A private family service will be held at Calgary Crematorium Chapel, (3219 – 4th Street NW, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
