Obituary of William Ewart Brimacombe

 

January 14, 1943 - Tisdale, Saskatchewan

February 27, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

William "Bill" Ewart Brimacombe died peacefully at home on Monday, February 27, 2023, at the age of 80 years.

Bill was born in Tisdale, SK, and after his family created memories in both Tisdale and Assiniboia moved to Alberta.

Bill attended school in Calgary, AB, where he obtained his CPA.

He and Marilyn wed in 1963 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA, and started their family in 1966.

Bill most enjoyed annual family vacations and continued to travel in his later years, often to see his Chicago Cubs play in spring training. In his later years he most enjoyed birding, baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Bill’s loving family includes his two sons, Stephen, and John; his daughter Kimberley (Marco) Colonna, and grandsons Davide, and Zackary; his daughter Barbara, and granddaughter Emilee, all of Calgary, AB.

He will also be remembered by his brothers Jim (Val) Brimacombe of Lacombe, AB; Rick (Jodi) Brimacombe of Rimbey, AB; and his sister Bonnie (Ian) Mathie of White Rock, BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Lee Brimacombe on May 10, 2005.

In accordance with his wishes, only a small family gathering will be held, however, a celebration of life will occur this spring.
