Dustin Lindsay of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 48 years.
Dustin was born in Swift Current, SK on June 19, 1974. He graduated from Macklin School in 1992. He attended Lethbridge Community College and graduated with a Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology. He furthered his studies at the University of Calgary, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Computer Science.
Dustin held various positions in the software development field. His most recent position was at Avtex, where he worked from 2010 to 2021 as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst.
Dustin enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was passionate about sports, including hockey (Sens Fan!), in-line skating and biking. He was also an avid gamer, movie buff, and loved many styles of music.
Dustin spent countless hours with friends playing poker, gaming, playing both roller and ice hockey, camping, going to the movies, and attending Flames games. He loved being outdoors, exploring the city bike paths, and houseboating, whether it be with family or friends.
Dustin is survived by his mother Connie Lindsay of Tompkins, SK; his father Dean Lindsay of Wadena, SK; sister Sheila Lindsay (Stefano Vani) of Laval, QC; brother Brendan (Nadine) Lindsay of Swift Current, SK; nieces and nephews, Anthony Vani, Zachary Lindsay, Daniela Vani, and Hayley Lindsay; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Dustin was predeceased by his grandparents, Tony and Dolly Hundt, Delores and Walter Cameron; and cousin Vincent Hughes.
