Obituary of Eugene Leonard Houlahan

Eugene Houlahan of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 92 years.

 

Eugene is one of eleven children of the late Joseph and Kathleen (McKeever) Houlahan; brother-in-law of Ruth, Marie, Shirley and Linda.

 

He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Theresa (Earl) Erickson, Jack Houlahan, Ed Houlahan, Larry (Lillian) Houlahan, Reta (Steve) Mitro, Jim Houlahan, Madeline (Donald) Wells, Ann Mercer, Gerald and Joe Houlahan. Eugene’s son Kevin passed away in 1993.

 

Eugene is survived by his wife Doreen (Giacobbo); his daughter, Cheryl; and sons, Mark and Shawn; his grandson, Mason Aiello (Krisztina); and his great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Jason and Julien. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Eugene was not one for ceremonies, and requested that no service be held for him. The immediate family had a Celebration of Life dinner to send him on his way.
