Obituary of Eva Lucretia Longmore (nee Loomer)

 

January 15, 1929 - Hedley, British Columbia

June 13, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

 

Eva Longmore, the beloved wife of the late A.J. Longmore of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the age of 94 years.

 

Eva was born in Hedley, BC, Canada to parents Carl and Sadie Loomer.

 

After completing highschool, she attended normal school and earned her teaching degree. She taught kindergarten to Grade two in Oliver, BC.

 

She loved a good laugh (was known for her quick wit and puns!), fishing, friends, and family.

 

She is survived by her children Geordie, Mairi Anne, Malcolm, and Shaun; grandchildren, Ashley, Jaimee, Tyler, and Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Oliver, and Logan. She will be greatly missed, but always loved.

 

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Heritage, 1708, 16th Avenue N, across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary, AB)  on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
