Obituary of Fay Louise Judge

May 23, 1935 - Farnam, Quebec

June 17, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

It is with deep sadness that the Judge family conveys that Fay Louise Judge (nee Kittell) passed away peacefully on the early morning of Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Holy Cross Manor in N.W. Calgary.

 

Fay is survived by her son Peter (Anne, Andrew and Hunter) Judge, and her two daughters: Pamela (Grant, Jaycee and Kittell) McKenzie and Janet Judge. She was predeceased by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Patrick, who passed away in September 2003, her sisters in-law: Audrey (Al) Ivey of Canmore (Montreal and Toronto), and Verma (Clifford) Saunders, her mother Freda Kittell of Canmore (Granby, QC) and her father Gordon Kittell of Granby, QC. 

 

Fay had an infectious smile and was an accomplished athlete in her younger years; particularly in the sport of golf where she made her mark as a Junior Champion golfer which became a lifelong pursuit. 

 

Her love of all activities helped shape her family’s deep roots in many different sports.  Fay will be remembered as always having led a very active life while being a supportive loving mother who loved her dogs and skiing with her family.  In her later years she loved her walks around Canmore, on beaches in Florida and Hawaii, adventurous world trips with her best friend Helen and cruising with her daughter Janet.

 

Graveside Service will be held at the Canmore Cemetery (1250 Steward Rd, Canmore, AB T1W 1L5) on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:30 am. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Alzheimer Society of Calgary, www.alzheimercalgary.com, or the Canadian Junior Golf Association, cjga.com. The family would like to express their deep felt gratitude to the staff, nurses and caregivers of Holy Cross Manor for their incredibly supportive care of Fay through the last years of her life.
