I have many fond memories of Gil, he taught me so much
about concrete and he was such an integral part of the success of Lafarge. Very sad to hear of his passing

Our thoughts and prayers are with Greg, Lori and their families after hearing about the loss of their dad, Gil. He was always a kind man and had a great sense of humour. Growing up, we got to know both Gil and Mavis as they were close friends of our parents and were involved in many family, social events. Some of the great memories include: monthly Saturday night Dirty Dozen card games, Stampeder football games, vacationing together at Mara Lake, the annual Stampede Birthday Party for my dad and numerous summer picnics. The Lee Chees would always be there along with the Les Vescontes, Mussos, Dicksons, Boyds and McNeills. A wonderful man who was loved and will certainly be missed!

I remember Gil from Uof S, I graduated in Mechanical in 1960, which am sure was about his year too. I recall a great guy "our representative from Trinidad" was the way I was introduced to him.
Wished I knew he resided in Calgary which is where I live now.
