Anjana Jaidka beloved wife of Om Parkash Jaidka of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the age of 84 years.

Anjana was born in Kishanpura Kalan, Punjab, India on February 3, 1939. She moved to Moga, Punjab, India in 1960 and

she immigrated to Canada in 1993.

Anjana graduated from the Jain Girls High School, Ludhiana, India, and married Om Prakash Jaidka on May 9, 1960.

Anjana accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of raising a magnificent family. Anjana enjoyed helping others and her most memorable vacation was when she traveled to India and met all her family which she hadn’t seen in decades.  

Anjana’s favorite saying was “Hare Krishna will fix everything”. She will be most remembered for her joyful, hardworking, and caring personality, as well as her unwavering dedication to her beloved family.

 Anjana is survived by her five daughters and three sons-in-law, Usha Sachar, Shashi Madan, Asha Bhagria and Rajinder Bhagria, Neetu Sood and Vikram Sood, who all reside in Calgary, AB, Suman Chopra, and Sandeep Chopra who reside in Orange County, CA, son and daughter-in-law, Amrit Jaidka and Anju Jaidka who reside in Calgary, AB; fifteen grandchildren, Vikas, Akaash, Avneet, and Tanya Bhagria, Rohan, Rahul, and Aaryan Jaidka, Abhimanyu Madan, Malika, and Krishna Sood who all reside in Calgary, AB, Shivani Sachar, and Ankit Hastir who resides in Edmonton, AB. Abhinandan and Aman Madan who reside in Kamloops, BC Sejal and Sachie Chopra who reside in Orange County, CA; and great-grandchildren, Aura Madan who resides in Kamloops, BC. Anjana is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anjana was predeceased by Om Prakash Jaidka (Husband), Nandlal Syal (Dad), Achhari Syal (Mom), Gyanchand Syal (Brother), Dewan Syal (Brother) and, Krishna Kapila (Sister).

Funeral Services will be held at Calgary Crematorium Chapel, (3219 – 4th Street NW, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, September 29, 2023, at start time10:00  a.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Anjana’s family here.
