We miss you already. Your familiar rooster crow and quick wit, always giving and never taking is how I remember Arlene. What a sincere kind thoughtful warm friend. "God looked around his garden And found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best." I see you in my minds eye smiling in heaven knowing you left the world a much better place. "It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home"

Arlene was a candle in a dark room, always alight, always glowing, and so generous with positive energy. She lived life to the brim, and she made all of our lives richer and more vibrant. We'll miss her immensely.

What a WOMAN! Once you met Arlene, everyone else paled in comparison. As a member of Chickwagon, thank you for giving me the space to become a dynamic woman. I so very much enjoyed being in your presence----high energy you could physically feel. Mirka Saraceni

May the Father's love assuage the grief of a wonderful woman's family and friends. I look forward to meeting everyone on the 7th, firm in the knowledge that whereever she is now, the music is loud, drinks are free, and licorice within grasp. Dino Truant, colleage, friend and admirer

I just recently learned of Arlene's passing. I knew Arlene having attended Hardisty Junior High School with her. I was Judy Derpack back then. We had so much fun and she was such a good and generous friend. My parents were poor and I did not have many clothes. Arlene would lend me clothes so we could go to dances and parties together. I especially remember the lunches we enjoyed at her family's home on Hardisty Drive. Arlene helped me in so many ways, to overcome my shyness at school. She was a loyal friend, and so kind and encouraging. In the summer months, I was invited to join her and her family at Rosshaven, in their family cabin. Rowing in our canoes at night on the lake. I never forgot those years .... and am not surprised that Arlene accomplished so much in her life. She had so much energy, While I lost track of her after Victoria Composite High School, I never forgot her. Rest in Peace, Arlene. May the good work you did live on long after you.
