I am so sad to hear about David's passing. He was such a lovely colleague and mentor for me, sharing his knowledge with humility and humour and all my memories of him are filled with warmth and caring. It was indeed a privilege to have known him. My thoughts are with his family.

An impulsive google search lead me to this page. So sorry to hear of David's passing. This lovely man was a second father to me and the rest of the clan, Bev, Joan, Ruthie, Paul and John Claude, a second family during our wonderful time together in Paris, 1967. I will always remember David's smile and his infectious wry laugh which spoke of wisdom and a certain ironic view of the world. That time in Pariswas one of the most impactful periods of my life all made possible by David and Bev's generosity and the joy that filled our household. God Speed, David.
