Beloved mother of 4, Manjit Kaur Khera, age 70 years passed away in Peter Lougheed Hospital on Monday, August 4, 2014 after a year long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 10, 1944 in Mahilpur, India she was the daughter of Harbhajan Kaur Bal and the late Gurcharan Singh Bal.
Manjit was predeceased by her son Jagpinder Singh Khera and brother Kuldip Singh Bal. She is survived by her husband and partner of 50 years, Charan Singh Khera, her children Harbinder Khera, Chatinder Khera (Chad) and Jogavindra Khera (Jo), her daughter in law Rajwinder Khera (Ricki), her cherished grandchildren Mannain, Mitnain, Kulnain, Delamar, Amber and Jussimar, her beloved mother Harbhajan Kaur Bal, sisters Rupinder Sandhu, Bhupinder Gill, Anjneet Gill, brother Tarlochan Bal as well as several nieces and nephews across the world.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 10 at the CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W at 10:00 AM, (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) followed by a religious ceremony at The Sikh Temple, 719-81st St. SW at noon. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
