PEGG, Isabel McNally (nee Bowman) April 24, 1918 – Cobden, Ontario September 13, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta Isabel Pegg of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the age of 96 years. Isabel was born in Cobden, Ontario and resided in Calgary since 1930. She was an active member of St. Matthews United Church for over 50 years and sang in several choirs. She was a member of the Canadian Cancer Society, having served on the City Board and was one of the original founders of Daffodil Day in Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband James William Pegg, her parents, Harvey and Jessie Bowman, brother, Ross and sister Pauline Cooley. Isabel is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Stan Peck of Toronto, Ont. and Nancy and Harold Spensley of Prince George, BC., grandsons, Michael and Gordon Peck, Adam and Corbin Spensley; Sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bruce MacLaren of Calgary; sister-in-law, Barbara Bowman of Edmonton and much loved cousin Glenn Alexander and his wife Joyce. Isabel is also survived by her nieces, nephew and friends. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at Queens Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.hffs.com. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of your choice. The family wish to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Mayfair Care Centre for the extraordinary care and compassion they have provided our mother over the past nine years. Special thanks to her Mayfair companion, Cathy Liddle.
