Obituary of Ila Robinson

Ila Robinson passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 22, 2013 at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her sister Lillian Bennett of Milwaukie, Oregon, her niece Debbie Derr, and nephews Doug Bennett, Rod, Randy and Wayne Robinson. She was predeceased by her father and mother and only brother Sidney Robinson. Ila was born in the coal mining town of Michel, B.C., on April 18, 1933. She was the youngest daughter of Oliver and Catherine Robinson. Following high school, Ila attended Mount Royal College. She worked at several jobs, including the Royal Canadian Air Force, before joining the staff of Pacific Petroleums (later Petro Canada) where she enjoyed many years as Supervisor of the Typing Pool. She was fondly remember and well respected by her “girls” in the Pool. Ila was an avid reader and spent many leisurely hours catching up on the latest novels.
